  Our Mission
The International Data Evaluation Center supports early literacy achievement using science-based methods in research and evaluation. We use technology to provide educators with the data they need to evaluate their Reading Recovery® implementations and make timely, well-informed decisions.
About IDEC
The International Data Evaluation Center (IDEC) is an ongoing research project of the School of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University. We have a full-time staff of five employees.
  What is Reading Recovery?
Reading Recovery is a short-term intervention that supports classroom instruction for the lowest-achieving students in the first grade. Children meet individually with a specially trained teacher for 30 minutes daily for 12 to 20 weeks.
